CITY TOUR & BAHURUTSHE CULTURAL VILLAGE, APPROXIMATELY 5 ½ HOURS

Our tour guide/driver will pick you up for a city tour at the agreed pick up time. Proceed to the Government enclave (Parliament buildings, Sir Seretse Khama statue, House of chiefs, Ministerial buildings, Bank of Botswana, SADC Headquarters, UNDP Building, etc), National Museum, Main mall, The Three chiefs Monument, New SADC Headquarters, Thapong Art visuals and Botswana Craft Market where you can purchase some curios. Proceed to Bahurutshe cultural village which is in Mmankgodi Village, which is approximately 40 minutes drive. Upon arrival proceed to the village meeting place (Kgotla in Setswana). Here you will be taught and shown how Bahurutshe people used to live during the olden days. They will show case to you how their traditional weddings used to be conducted, traditional dancers will perform for you, after all the activities a traditional lunch will be served. There will be a cash bar where you can purchase some refreshments at your own expense. After lunch you will be driven back to Gaborone.

MADIKWE GAME RESERVE, HALF DAY IN SOUTH AFRICA

Our driver will pick you up at 11h00 and drive you to Tau Game lodge which is approximately 1 hour drive from Gaborone and it is located in Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa. You will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch just relax around the lodge or at the pool area. The lodge has a private waterhole where animals can be sighted when they come to quench their thirst. You will then be taken for a  2½-3 hour game drive in the heart of Madikwe Game Reserve which is home to the Big 5 and many other animals.  After the game drive we will return back to Gaborone in the evening. South Africa VISA regulation applies.

MOKOLODI CHEETAH DRIVE, APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS

The times for the game drives are 08h00, 10h30, 14h00 or 16h00. You will be collected from the hotel 30 minutes beofre the drive and taken to Mokolodi Nature Reserve, approximately 14 kilometers from Gaborone. Upon arrival you will be taken for a 2-hour game drive where you will have a chance to see kudus, impalas, wildebeests, cheetah, elephants, giraffe and more. Here you will be accompanied by a professional and experienced guide who will make your visit a memorable one. Includes unique Cheetah Experience.

Tour the locations of the No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency series written by Alexander McCall Smith which was filmed in Gaborone. Botswana’s tourism has benefited from the film and is preserving the set, “Kgalewood”, as part of a tour of Gaborone aimed at fans of this epic story. A tour guide/driver will pick you up and take you on a half day city tour that gives you insight to the life of Mma Ramotswe. The tour starts at Zebra Way, followed by Speed Motors, Go -Go Handsome Man Bar, the No.1 Ladies Detective Agency office. Afterwards proceed for lunch at No.1 Ladies Detective Agency Coffee Shop & Restaurant where a traditional Setswana Cuisine is served at your own expense.

FISHING TRIPS

Fishing Trips are offered through the only Fishing Safari’s Company in Gaborone Faroutfishing. Owner and Guide Adam Clark also the Author of the popular Botswana Fishing Guide will personally collect you from our Hotel and take you into the Botswana Bush to catch a fish.  Locations range from rivers such as Sikwane, Marico, Limpopo, Okavango and Zambezi where Hippopotamus are often present.  The main fish species caught are Bream, Trout, Carp, Bass and Barbel.  Adam supplies all the equipment and knows how to guarantee you a true “Wild African Experience”.

PACKAGES: Collection from the hotel at 07h00 and returns at 18h00. On offer -  lunch, drinks, equipment and transfers. Packages from P500 per person. (Max 4 people). An Okavango long weekend Winter fly fishing Trout, Friday to Sunday is available on request.
